  • I had to watch this for a college class. I am so awed by thi smovie is all I can say

  • Thank you I'm in AP English 11 and this helped me so much thanks. Not to be racist, but I would kick that "crackers" (White man that had nothing between 1600's and 1700's- Take that AP US History) ass up and down his little neighborhood.

  • This wasn't a movie. It was an experience.

  • where is the part where the woman goes crazy because of the money that was going to be used to buy the house, well I don't remember, but I know I was watching the one with Esther Rolle years ago and her character went crazed a little cause someone stole the money.

I do not remember what happens.Let me shut up

  • no its a quote from the poem A Dream Deferred by Langston Hughes google it and read the poem and analyze it and try to find the true meaning, then you will understand this play better

  • Sooo they moved out?

  • Grandma reminds me of my nana, sweet, strong, but yet down to earth! She loved eveyone,

r.i.p. Edna Cole! I miss you!

  • This is my all time favorites...the finally scene grips me when Mama looks around and remembers yet ready to release and let go of the past.

  • WOW this movie was INCREDIBLE and had some of the most POWERFUL ACTING from EVERYONE in one whole movie. Usually it's one or two people that stand out but in this movie EVERYBODY was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The dialog between the mother and the son, I thought it was about freedom, naw mama it was always about money! The inequality that was maintain then and now, was always about money. The murder of shabazz, martin, patrice, biko, was always about money. Equality means fair share. The 99% versus the 1% is about fair share. We are still living on the plantation until there is equality.
