@atlroxmysox98 I agree, but you do know that by saying you know the world does not revolve around you while being an only child, you are implying that one exception defies the entire rule, right? That in and of itself is a bit self-centered. There are traces of validity on all sides.

By the way, I'm an only child too, so I'm not discriminating or anything.

I'm an only child. I know the world does not revolve around me and I try not to be selfish. All those stereotypes are wrong and stupid. But being an only child isn't exactly a godsend, despite what my friends think. Sure you get a lot of attention but my parents never want to do anything ever and I like talking to people my own age.

I'm kind of an only child, I have a sister but we never hang out. I haven't seen her in 6 months. We are 10 years apart and she moved out when I was 8. I'm an only child to my point of view. My friend is always with me. We are both 14 and he is more of a sibling than my sister was.

My ex girlfriends daughter was an only child (now 19) was she is one spolit brat. A nightmare & my ex was too scared of her. I had to walk eventually. What that guy says is true

i am a only child ;D but i am not self-centered or spoiled. growing up, my parents did not have enough money to spoil me anyways. however, i do indeed enjoy my own company. the only conflict of being a only child (i think) is when your out of money and no one can give you some. =(

You know I hated being the only child all through childhood but I will admit I am spoiled I don't donate to charity, & yes I'm not a giving person.
