  • honda makes some good machines, make sure you make a video of it! :P

  • @halosavage Yea, cant beat a 125 2 stroke in the tight stuff. So light and flickable. I'm stuck with a 4 stroke for now ;) Trading my Kx250F for a CRF450r tomorrow. Hopefully I don't regret it!

  • yea, a four stroke trail bike can last 30 years is you change the oil once a year. but for competion, 2 srokes are better

  • @halosavage Ah, I've never had a trail bike, so I can't relate.

  • I agree with you that a two stoke is as simple as 4-6 head bolts and off goes your head, cylinder and piston is a cir clip away.

I'm not talking about competition 4 strokes, those are alot more work than the two strokes, I agree with you. I am talking about 4 stoke TRAIL bikes, like the CRF 50F, 80F, 100F, 150F, 230F. I can now emphasize on the "F" enough. those bikes will never die and need to change the oil every years and your good for a long ass time.

Competition is a whole different story

  • @halosavage You forgot to mention how it is a mere 20 hour difference between 2 and 4 stroke rebuilds. Also, it cost $200 tops and 2 hours of your time to do a top end on a 2 smoker, and At least double the time and 5 times the cost to rebuild a 4 stroke top end.

    Im not a 2 stroke fanboy, I ride a 250F and a 450F! Just stating the facts.

  • ok, how many 2 strokes from the 80s are still running on the orriginal pistons? ask the same for a 4 stroke and its almost all of them. I'm talking about dirt bike, they say you need to change the piston on a 2 stroke competition bike about every 30 hours of use..

  • @halosavage More maintenance? As in...no frequent oil changes, no valves to keep up with? Oh yea, don't forget cheaper parts ;)

  • a 2 stroke is a lot more maintenance, but yes cheaper to rebuild

  • what bike is it?
