Jordan Labor laws are very protective of workers' rights, but this seems to be a personal service contractual agreement between the domestic maid and the household in which the law may not cover. Besides, there is more than 27000 Filipino domestic workers in Jordan that send millions of dollars back to their families in the Philippine, and apparently it seems that a few deals have gone sour that drew the attention of this news anchor who apparently doesn't have anything better to do.
