  • @Khamomil cond...Surely the problem is the people who pay such poor wages to a person who works so hard. If you work hard all day, the very least that one's wages should cover is enough meals for the next day. Thats not Simon's fault, but credit him at least for highlighting the mans plight. No doubt a very many people share that old mans plight, some may be even worse off (e.g. sick and unable to work, etc.), he can't help them all, but creating awareness might lead to help.

  • White man asks "how much money you make per day" black man "only 40 cents per load, it's not enough to survive" white man "thank you very much" and he leaves. What a rude man! He makes the man speak about his miserable condition and does not do anything to help him out: He should have give him some money. The poor black man looked intelligent, he spoke excellent, educated French, and looked bright. He must have felt used and wounded that the white man left him like this.

  • @Pvjinflight It is often white man's intelligence agencies that manipulate locals in Africa and everywhere else in the 3rs world to create rifts that lead to civil war. You understand quite well that these internal problems make it easy for the West to steal the resources, do you think it's completely by chance? Of course not! This tactic of warfare is very old, if Lao Tzu didn't invent it, then for sure Julius Caesar used it.

  • @Khamomil If you dont even know if he didnt give it outside camera you cant call him heartless. And anyway pretty much everyone you see there is desperately poor. Its all about old tribal system that caused civil wars, without it African countries could easily resist foreign corporations stealing resouces. White man is not responsible from all this.

  • @Pvjinflight If he had given the old man money on camera it would have set a good example. There is a way of giving charity without humiliating the person who receives it and without looking like a show-off. It's just a quick reaction to put hand in pocket and take out $. I'm not the only one who thinks Reeves was heartless for not giving the old man any money after learning how desperately poor he is. So it's no use saying "he must have given him off camera" bcz nobody knows for certain.

  • @Khamomil Maybe he gave it outside video then, from me just interviewing some random people in the streets and then publicly giving him money for that would be just offensive towards people who live in that kind of conditions.

  • @Pvjinflight Whites allow only corrupt persons to rule. The reason aid money doesn't help is bcz it never reaches those who need it, it is stolen by those who are head of the gov agencies or ministries.

Giving that man money would just have made him happier for a short time, but any minute of happiness is precious. He should have given him money bcz he could do it without hurting himself. It's called charity.

  • Whites can be blamed from placing borders badly hundreds of years ago, and its true that belgians did horrible things in Congo. But still biggest problem is caused by blacks themselves, ancient tribal system causes all of those civil wars which destroy country much more than western companies stealing resources. Without all those civil wars central african countries would be probably much richer places, and foreign companies couldnt steal from them.

  • @Khamomil And also throwing money to Africa doesnt help, over 20 years of developing aid (sending money and stuff to Africa), and nothing has changed. Giving that man some money would have changed nothing. Nah, africans have to solve their problem theirselves, outsiders cant do it.

  • @Khamomil Its not his fault that people are paid too small amount of money there, so why he should give that money to him? Or is it just because he is white, you racist?
