I want to try out something new... do videos of some of the rarest albums on my vinyl collection. Things that I'm sure are not being reedited on CD or digital anytime soon... I'm just putting my camera in front of the turntable as I'm recording one or two cuts from a LP. The sound, however, is fed directly from my stereo to the computer using a pro mixer and a M-Audio hardware interface. So I try to mix the two together here. Hope the next ones will have better production values.
This first one is from a vocal group from Brasil named Boca Livre. This is a NM copy of their first, independent pressing from 1978. I found a copy here in Costa Rica, broke it in an accident and took me almost 15 years to find another one, on a trip to Argentina. This record is quite flimsy and needs to be handled with extreme care. This video features two cuts from side A, a ballad called "Misterios" and an intriguing rhytmic piece named "Boi" (Ox).
thank you, thank you very much
