This short film was taken inside the Rotunda of The Portal of the Golden Wings, which is a national shrine to aviation in Burbank, California where Amelia Earhart and other great american aviators are honored. I placed my digital camera on a shelve of stone across the rotunda and played. The birds seemed to like it a lot, as did the few people who came walking about the cemetery. The sound in there is real nice, with a nice reverb not found anywhere else. Planes from the Burbank airport takeoff overhead, and I was matching pitch with the rumbling of the planes overhead. In a way what I'm playing here is a variation on Musica Ricercata No. 2, by Dominic Harlan which many know as the theme from the movie, "Eyes Wide Shut". I guess the cemetery made me play strange spooky stuff this time. That reverb. each of these three improvs are quite different.
