A major jobs fair for business students from the province's two largest business schools held on March 25 may be one of the best indicators yet that British Columbia is on the rebound from the global economic recession. With 85 hiring companies and over 1,000 job-seeking students in attendance, the Business Career Expo is BC's largest business-focused student career fair.
The event was jointly held by the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, and the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Excitement and energy levels were high as senior undergraduate business students, graduate students and recent alumni learned about some of BC's top employers and companies. The event proved to be an excellent platform for hiring companies to showcase their organizations, establish a profile amongst students and make personal contact with highly qualified professionals.
Business is wonderful; it gives us so many neat things.
