@cyberg00se They are all solid wood.

Sorry folks, I was thinking one of my other ukes.
The Red Cedar ukes from mainland are Red Cedar top and Rose wood. Solid wood.
-
fair enough :) the music is all that matters
-
The Red Cedar has a Red Cedar top and Nato wood for the rest
The Mahogany is all Mahogany.
-
I hope you are not implying I or Mainland are pretending anything. I simply mispoke. The ukulele IS solid wood, however only the top is red cedar, the rest is nato wood, which is a far cry from much cheaper ukes using pressboard and other inferior materials. The Mahogany is solid wood however.

There IS info on Mainland's site about solid wood construction. Now I am confused! I think these are solid wood Ukes. Right? Anyone?
hey, its actually pronounced "ookelele" not "yookelele" i lived in Hawaii for 6 years and was made fun of for pronouncing it wrong, just thought id let you know :)

Oh I know, fair enough, I have been to Hawaii myself. Though not being Hawaiian, and not speaking Hawaiian, I pronounce it the way 95% of the "non-hawaiian" population does, which is "you-ku-lele". I don't get hung up on pronunciation. I spend more time having fun and making music. Tomato To-Maw-to right???
