Thanks for sharing this. I love listening to the oldtimers and their stories. They did so much with so little. Makes me miss my grandpop. They seemed so much wiser then. Digging out crawl spaces for storage - all on their own. They never hired contractors. My gramps made his own kitchen and an extra bedroom.

It's really good that you remember how to make all these foods, once you pass it on to your grandson and us we pass it on to our kids and so on and then we'll all know of the great cooking from the depression all thanks to you, Clara. :)
