soulless ? Good point the atman or soul in hinduism seeks to reunite with the mahatman or god.

I am buddhist and tantra is very different in buddhism.But if you have another religion yourself stick with it.

Sexuality is an energy that can be used like other energies to purifie the soul.

For myself, the art of making love is the moment to share love and love is the key to open the heart and that heart open is the temple of the love of God, All is depends on what you meditate in the moment you call sex. the images on the outside walls of the temple are erotic, but i think they represent 'maya' a term in hinduism for illusion of 'worldly' or unlimited desires which everyone in the world become attracted to and while visiting these temple the people have some time to know that certain things shown in the images are natural for human beings yet we can choose to rise above all the worldy things for a dignified or soulful existence.

this is by anoushka shankar, the daughter of ravi shankar, the world famous east indian sitar guru. i have had the pleasure of having dinner with him and his band when i was about 14 but i did not know how famous he was. i have seen him and his daughter in concert here in the united states more than once. you can find this song on her cd called rise, its awesome. take care.
