@MrPage2004 yeah. sitars are a bitch to tune, and even more of a bitch to re string. im pretty sure most of them are drone strings, in that you dont usually play anything but open on them, but i may be wrong. i think you usually only really have to use frets on like two of the strings.

I saw a sitar the other day at the flea markets, it was surprisingly extremely complex with 2 layers of many strings...
