  • Doesn't the Saturn version have cutscenes too?

  • @ACluelessKid Yes ofcourse, these ones just happen to be taken from the PS1 version.

  • O_O i just came across this. Is this an anime seris?

  • No, it's the cutscenes from the game on the PS1.

  • This RPG probally has one of the best storylines of all time

  • They really need to bring back traditional anime cutscenes in RPGs like Lunar Silver Star Story had. Nowadays the only RPGs that do them anymore are some of Nippon Ichi's, but even then the animated cutscenes are in only a few parts in the game, where Lunar Silver Star Story had plenty of them.

Other games need to learn from this!

  • I like how the old dragon thinks you're there for something important, only to learn you're after something you have no idea is actually a piece of dragon shit ^.^

  • As an RPG, Final Fantasy IX is better, but Lunar is the most memorable.

  • Wow I remember the first time I played this game was the original first version on the Sega CD. It was the first time I saw animation and voice acting in a game and I was amazed. It's not shown here but if you didn't press anything in the start menu there would be another preview of scenes with this song "Fighting through the darkness" that I love and think of every now and then

  • I still to this day 13 years later still sing this song in the shower sometimes...

  • I just learned that the guy who drew the art for Lunar now does the art for THE iDOLM@STER, and the 3d models in the games are based on his style.

His style has changed a bit, but you can definitely see the similarity between iDOLM@STER and Lunar in the original arcade version of the game. And you can even see the similarity in the newer games if you compare it to Dragon Song (I like to pretend that game doesn't exist, but...)

  • Anyone else think Nall's actor breathed helium to do that voice?

  • I love one of quarks lines in the game. I don't remember word for word but the general idea was something along the lines of diamonds and why would humans want them considering where they came from. That will forever bring laughter for me.

  • I can't get over how many wonderful memories this brings back... thats it!!! Luna's song on the boat did it! I must play LUNAR NOW! :D lol after all the movies.....

  • @ tyrani22222

Yes it really does :} Lunar really stands on it's own. beautiful story... I wish there was a lunar anime lol.... that would be so awesome.

  • man... this brings back memories... this is the very first game i ever owned and played on ps1.... though somebody barrowed it and never returned it.. lol.. one of my fave game ever... i just missed this game T_T
