This song draws our attention to the troubles of this world. He questions God in the midst of all the mess the world is in. In humility, he also questions his own contributions. We should all be able to relate to the darkness we see around us. For some of us it may be a first had experience and for others we only need to turn on the news to be reminded of the pain the world is going through.

Some how in the middle of all this the writer recognizes that there is a power beyond our control, a power that can only give us peace and hope beyond anything thing the world could offer. God allows things to happen and we dont always get to understand why. We can trust in His sovereignty and He offers us such great peace when we trust Him.

Then you will experience Gods peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

No government or program could solve our hurting hearts. Our hearts are often like a roaring sea that needs to be calmed like Jesus told the sea Peace, be still (Mark 4:39)

Let us all be reminded that God has not left us to our own but to turn to Him as our shelter and our hope. We are not alone!

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7)

@mtlhead777 i believe this kind of thoughts and struggles is sth every Christian has. This song sings how desparately we thirst for the truth and unsatisfied with doubts inside, yet it tells us to stand strong for what Jesus said. very inspiring and honest.
