SPILERS !!!!

This movie was released in 2003. It was written and directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. This is their first non documentary release, although it is based on a true story.

Party Monster stars Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green. They portray some flamboyant New York city club promoters. What they do, basically, is draw alot of attention to themselves using outrageous sounding party themes, do tons of drugs, O.D., and get paid. Predictably, their success is short lived. Things take several turns for the worse and someone gets murdered.

The vast majority of the acting was simply terrible. None of the characters had any depth. I didn't care or feel anything for them. The story seemed trite and uninteresting. The directing here seemed very half assed. The costumes were one redeemable factor. A couple of the drug binges were well made, but it wasn't really enough to salvage the movie.

Could have been better. I was bored throughout and couldn't wait for it to end.

  • Overacted? Ben Stiller overacts Green and Culkin were amazing in this film.

  • Who cares what u think I luvvvv that movie!!!

  • Kingkate is a pathetic loser beyond belief, who posts 5 times ni a row just because they disagree with a video? Wtf.

I didn't like the movie either!

  • I thought this movie was brilliant. I thought the characters were quirky in the best way possible AND the story itself is actually quite good. I am reading the book ASAP

  • This review sucked major balls seriously this movie is awesomee ! Fuck off hater !

  • @subliminalduck don't stay away from party monster. this film is really good, its the review thats bad - he got so many fundamently things wronge, made completely stupid assumptions, and was really badly informed on the subject. its a great film, worth a watch - also please read comments i posted on the video

  • i have to stop now because i have only scratched the surface on how wrong and innacurate you were on so many levels that i could continue all day, i would like to end by saying that you should never do any review of anything, without at least doing SOME research on what your actually judging, if you had you could've stop yourself from getting it so wrong, making completely stupid false assumptions and conclusions. WORST REVIEW I THINK I'V EVER COME ACROSS - IGNORANT

  • (cos what actually happened was they injected pipe blocker into his viens after that (he was still alive), and then 6 people lived in the apartment with the body there for a week before they 'did something about all the mess' (again, all in the film, pay attention) very wierd events, hence wierd portrayal

  • not only do you know nothing about the gay scene or club kid scene as it was, you also know nothing about movies to come to the conclusions about how they played out specific things. main example being the murder part, they did it very off-the-wall wierd cos thats exatly how it happened. and if you'd payd attention you wouldn't say he was bludgened

  • completely agree with that last comment. your ignorant review is shockingly wrong. if you had any idea you would know how accurate the portrayals of thier personalities and the events were. i'v watched / read / listened to everything out there about the real guys, both from the '90s and now, and its extremely accurate
