@Noureddin91 I'm glad you feel this way, but why is it when I hear a Muslim saying that terrorists are not true to the faith, it's a nobody like you? Where are the imams and ayatollahs? Why doesn't the ulema issue fatwa after fatwa? There is a great truth in the saying that actions speak louder than words. It is also true of inaction. Muslims need to hear another old saying: All that is needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. Until you stand up, the terrorists will define you.

Don't confuse atheists responding to bone headed Chrsitians comments here with being accepting of treating Islam with kid gloves.Its a specific response to Christians.

This video brings out many of the hypocrisies that exist in this country especially the "media". I've heard so many people mostly on the left rail against this video as being islomophobic. Yet, if this video was portraying a Christian blowing up a community center or killing an abortion clinic doc the left would give the cartoon an OSCAR! Im reading a lot of misconceptions here 1: islam rejects Jesus as the son of God, thereby making his,message of love towards all binding only upon Jesus Christians and not the whole of mankind. This was really funny. Unfortunately most Muslims in the world don't have a great sense of humor and can't laugh at themselves.

Also - it's an unfortune reality that now this year 2011 - Islam appeals to those who are on the bottom, thoes in prison, those upset with the existing order.

Think of Charlie Brown - Lucy always humiliating him - CB as a Muslim will make Lucy "shut up", respect CB, respect Islam "submit" - Islam means "submission".

As a political atheist (used to be editor of Positive Atheism, have written many articles on the politics of atheism), no, I don't really see your "all the time" criticism of Islam.

The farther away you get from intellectual atheists and more into politico-cultural-academic atheism, the worse it gets: the more popular the form, the less and less criticism of Islam exists.

I'm an official atheist and I pay attention: they're right, Islam is basically above criticism. That's bad.
