Unilever is the most hypocrite company of all. In their Axe - commercials they promote the same sexist view on women they pretend to critisize here. Just target group marketing.
So please talk to your daughters about this, too.

I think..the first time i watched this (being a girl) i almost cried. Becuz this is EXACTLY what goes on in alot of our minds. Becuz the industry says-
Look young
skinny
Dance like a slut
have big boobs
small ass
Look gorgouse
To all the females out there. Unite and show them we are all beautiful <3

my thoughts on this are too long for a comment box.
So I made a blog post about it at

I love how the comment that suggests that nobody else but YOU is responsible for your choices gets down voted. There is more than enough information out there to make reasonable choice. But of course it's so much easier to blame everything on big evil corporations. Like women's brain exclusively absorbs ad slogans. Just because that comment doesn't support your point of view you're picking on gibberish nickname and try to establish some sort of censorship. Ain't that a bit hypocritical?

i don't care that it's a big company. i care that it's a big company that will then push out ads with beautiful women saying i shouldn't have hat hair, or dry hair, or oily skin, or dull skin, so I must buy their products to feel better. and then goes and pushes out commercials with women gyrating in bikinis to sell men's deodorant.

I didn't realize Dove had been doing this for so many years now.
It seems like they are being maligned for their efforts simply because they are a giant company. If an organization like "One Billion Rising" launched this campaign everyone would be applauding and hurling humanitarian accolades at it.
Isn't Dove more like what we wish big companies were like? We criticize and condemn big biz for making us hate ourselves enough to believe we need their products. But Dove is just doing the opposite

Everyone should buy locally made, natural soap with no sodium lauryl sulfate in it if for no other reason. That crap strips your skin of natural oils. Beyond that, the message of this video is certainly a good one. Doesn't mean you should buy their crap soap that is no different than any other crap soap.
