What a irony that this is posted on a website owned by Google ^^

I think it's totally possible, these days you need to provide a ton of personal information just to register on any site any where- to better customize and to suit your need as they called it. It's a scary but exciting way of life, the better we are categorized, the easier it is for company to screen and introduce information, product that we like; imagine a world where every thing is perfect, due to computer screening......what kind of world would that be like?

er...liberty! and uh....freedom! Empty fucking buzzwords. Google will not do this shit because no one will let them do it. Period. End of discussion

I wasnt trying to make a point, i was just saying that google probably has very little interest in me. Its not like i wouldnt care if our liberties were removed. i guess i gave the wrong impression

who speaks about target?? I don't really think you got the point here man... It's about freedom and privacy of every individual! Who cares if you have pirate music or you rather wasting your bucks buying it??

Lol well , new totalitarian goverments wont come like the rise of nazis of course. it wont be that obvious, but you have to stay alert for it. and saying 'i have nothing to hide they can take my privacy and freedom' is completely rubbish , i dont believe in this google master plan or whatever but you shouldnt let your guard down, because they wont. History has a tendency to repeat itself.

but, what would they do? what freedoms are you taking about?

You can think about things like right to bear arms, suppression of speech, doing nothing without the goverment knowing/storing something about it. Look at north korea for example, a perfect example of a totalitarian goverment where the people have no freedom whatsoever. im sure those people have nothing to hide either. Just remember what big corporations / goverments fear most: you. People, united. They're just a small group of elite trying to control the majority.

again, a lot of that doesnt apply to me. i don't have much to say that might violate free speech. also i cant afford weapons. the average person isnt as affected as most people.
