Monajat (Fervent Prayer) is a multimedia concert inspired by the poetic prayers of Selihot, recited during the month receding the Jewish New Year as a means of deep reflection and spiritual preparation. Galeet Dardashti, a composer, singer, and scholar of Iranian descent, re-imagines this ritual in collaboration with an acclaimed ensemble of musicians, an electronic soundscape, and dynamic video projections.

The September 2011 US tour includes performances, talks, and workshops in six cities: Miami, New York, Boston, Houston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
