Dakota Brant, Miss Indian World 2010-2011, at the University of Nevada, Reno November 16, 2010

Dakota Brant, MIW 2010-2011, delivers an explanation and demonstration of the "Smoke Dance". MIW was invited to "Great Basin Night of Song and Dance", held at the University of Nevada, Reno Wellsfargo Theater in the Knowledge Center. This event was held in recognition of Native American Heritage Month and in honor of the traditional songs/languages that have survived despite some of the most outlandish inhumane treatment to rob Native American/American Indians of their identities.
