@Scouser121212 - It's so true that most gays pay much more than their fair share in income tax for all you mentioned. Some people are so ignorant that they thoroughly believe that we "choose" to be gay, as Blacks would "choose" to be black and so on. Parents who tranmit such prejudices are more to blame than their kids. Unfortunately, in the USA, there's a very high concentration of haters. What an awful thing to have happened to such a beautiful person and soul.  I came out in year 7. The one thing that i have learned after coming out in a high school is that most of the people that hurt me verbally or physically were in fact gay themselves. Not being able to handle the fact that they themselves are gay or bi, drive to hurt other gay people out of jealous rage. There is no other reason for these outbursts of violence.
