L.A. Lights - 1x07

Selena:

His honey eyes looked directly at mine, he wiped away one of the tears that was making it's way down my face. We stared at each other for a few seconds and he moved closer to my face and kissed my cheek. It was more like a peck but my heart pounded hard and uncontrollably. He pulled away and gave me one of his signature grins. My heart skipped another beat and he stood up.
"Come on, let's go." He motioned, "Wipe your tears. Come on." He was talking to me the way you would talk to a 5 year old but it was sweet. I obeyed and we walked outside, holding hands, to find our table deserted.

Miley:
Canada was beautiful, the trees looked like they came out of a Christmas movie set, it was unreal. The white snow hurt my eyes just staring at it. We arrived around 10am in their time and we all quickly went sledding. Of course, It had no idea how to sled or ski or anything for that matter so Justin was helping her. I was stuck with Ryan and Nick.
It was hard looking at Nick, I regretted telling him I hated him but I was too proud to admit it. I still love him and deep down I forgave him, but part of me didn't. All three of us got on the ski lifts, but of course, Nick got off early. As soon as he left Ryan announced, "Alright, this whole thing is getting awkward for me. Honestly." "What is?" "Oh please, Miley. You know what I mean. You and Nick. Do you still like him?" Ryan's bright blue eyes seemed confused and lost. "Like him? Hell no." "Okay..." "I'm just sick of fighting with him." I sighed, resting my head on Ryan's shoulder. He relaxed a little in his seat and I felt comfortable. "We should really get off Miles." Ryan said, noticing there was only one stop left.

Justin:

Selena laughed hard at the face I made at her a few seconds ago. Her laugh was angelic. When her laugh died down she told me, "I'm thirsty." I nodded and I led her to the little snack shop inside the hotel. There was a row of magazines and newspapers near the checkout, I blocked them out of my sight, as always. Selena picked a few bags of chips and a soda. "I thought you were thirsty?" I laughed, the bags of chips she grabbed were bigger than her. "I'm hungry too..." I continued to laugh at the way she snatched the candy off the shelf. When she was finally done, she handed the cashier a $20. While he bagged her rows of snacks she grabbed a magazine off the shelf and started to flip through it. I unlocked my iPhone and started to flip through my texts.

I was reading the latest text, one from my mom when Selena spoke, "Oh my god." I assuming that it was probably some chick thing like "Brad Pitt's new movie" I ignored her comments. "This can't be happening." There was a note of distress in her voice. She grabbed another magazine and started to flip through it like a maniac. I looked up at her face, she still looked pretty calm. I looked down at the magazine, only to see a picture of me and Selena holding hands with the caption, "JUSTIN MALLETTE ON DATE WITH MYSTERY GIRL! MOM, PATTIE MALLETTE DOESN'T APPROVE!"

Justin:

"It's not true? Is it!" Selena wiped another tear from her eye. "I rarely see or talk to my mom. She doesn't even know you. It's all fake." I was sitting in Selena and Miley's hotel room, the magazines were all spread on Selena's bed and she was crying and flipping through them.




"It has been reported that Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette does not approve of the relationship between Justin and the girl pictured below. She reportedly said, 'She's not a nice girl, she's a bad influence on Justin.' The girl is about the same age as Justin and works as a stripper in a bar nearby Southern California...."

I didn't even bother to read the rest. But Selena continued to read and sob, I didn't know what to do. Eventually after 10 minutes of sobbing and "oh my god"s I took the magazines and threw them in the trash. "It doesn't matter what they say. I've been called every name in the book and I've had every lie told about me possible. According to them, I'm a crack baby and Pattie adopted me when I was a newborn." Selena let out a little giggle. I smiled and wiped another tear with my thumb.

I'm getting tired of writing this story, might quit. Does anyone really want me to continue? Just comment...
