A music box I had when I was 5 played this melody, and I would shut myself in my room and just listen to it, captivated by the beauty of the music. It was the first piece of music I fell in love with, but I never figured out where it was from. Now I'm a music major and when we were going through intervals in theory class, my prof. played the first interval of this song, and someone said "That's the song from the movie 'Love Story'". I can't tell you how happy I am to know the name!

@chikkibaby101 I don't think it's just about the story behind the song. I believe he sampled this particular piano song because the reoccurring chords make it sound quite dreary when coupled with those lyrics. I think it's a masterpiece in it's own right. He didn't use the whole song, and not to mention, its bringing people to this piece of music which they probably didn''t think they'd like. I definitely feel where your coming from though, especially with the way people slaughter music nowadays
