i always wanted to be a seal. all of my family has been in the forces the mental aspect breaks me i feel it in my core i love all that have made it GOD BLESS im 35 now but whould love the challenge but my criminal recored stops me

@Spankydaham924 Spec ops training will never stop, theres always this terrain or this vehicle or this weapon you have to be certified for. 2.5 years is estimated as well, could be more or less.

@Spankydaham924 The complete training is 2.5 years, after 1 year(BUD's and SQT) they get the trident. And then a extra 1.5 years of extra training before being assigned to a SEAL team. And yes a SEAL is trained in every aspect just like other NATO special forces units are. Actually special forces training never stops....

How much training does a SEAL go through before they ever see action as a SEAL? It looks to that you have to learn how to do so much that you'll be an old man before you're ever fielded. Does a SEAL have to learn about every aspect of SOF before he is fielded?
