You simply need to workout your average order value, your average shipping cost, and offer free shipping on your average order value + 10%, or whichever amount covers your average shipping cost and provides enough of a profit to slightly increase your average order value. If you repeat this process every 3-4 weeks, your average order value will increase by 30% or more in just a few months.

  • one of the perks of buying online instead of a retail outlet is you get free shipping? does that make sense? do we pay for shipping when we go to the shop?

  • One thing doesn't make sense here. We work out the average cost of shipping but aren't told why? Can someone tell me how the shipping value comes into this equation?
