Hey, what's up guys? I just wanted to make this quick video to talk about the Body Beast Nutrition Plan. I'm getting a lot of questions asking how to break that down and what's the easiest way to follow this. So, I just want to go over a few things that I do that are helping me to stay on track with the Body Beast plan.
So, first, I got the Body Beast Book of Beast right here and it really is pretty detailed as far as what you should be eating, the types of food you should be eating and what I really like to reference to, they have all these different meal ideas, meal suggestions, recipes. We've used a couple of them, but we don't follow these meals in here specifically to a T. Basically what I do is I really try to simplify it and I'm going to show you the section that I really look at a lot and that is the Body Beast Food List. Basically all this list says is it tells you what equals a serving of starch, what equals a serving of protein, fats, fruits, vegetables, all that stuff. It tells you what equals a serving and then, after you figure our your calories, how many calories you need per day, you'll reference this Body Beast Portion Chart.
After you figure out your calories, for example, when I first started, I was at the 3400 calorie mark, it tells you you need 8 starches every day, 4 legumes or protein liquids, 8 vegetables, 10 fruits or carb liquids, 17 protein servings, 8 fats, but it tells you exactly what you need every single day, but an easy way to track this is to just use something like this, like I created. Mine's a little marked up, but you'll see here, I just created a sheet. You can see that there. Now it just says Body Beast 3400 calorie plan and all I did was I created boxes that say starches, protein, whatever I need and then just a box for every serving that I need per day. All I do, again, it's really simple, I've learned what equals a serving so I know if I have some oatmeal in the morning, that's a couple servings of starches or if I have some yogurt, that's 3 servings of protein.
I just go through and just check off the box every single day, as soon as I have my meal. Having my recovery drink right now, so I'll go through it. I'll check off Base Shake, Fuel Shot and I've had my Super Suma. I've had that stuff, so this really helps me to keep track of things. It's just really simple, as opposed to going through and trying to count calories to make sure I'm at 3400. If you go through and you check off every single box, it's going to add up to the calories that you need.
