Jordan by Megaherz

Translated lyrics:
Translation ©2003 Jeremy Williams

You don't know anymore
I have realized this
You don't want anymore
Come, give me your hand

I see the longing
(I see) the craving in your eyes
You're looking for hope
You're looking for happiness

On the other side of the river
I wait for you

Whether in the garden of the Lord
or in the fires of Hell
nothing will remain how it was
Whether in burning embers
or in eternal ice
nothing will remain how it was
Whether rejoicing sky-high *
or in the depths of despair
nothing will remain how it was

If you want to be with me
If you want to be with me
you have to cross the Jordan **

Come, go on
Come, don't stay back
Only two meters left
to your happiness

On the other side of the river
I wait for you
Take heart
Go into the light
On the other side of the river
I wait for you

Let's go

* This line is from Egmont, Act II, Scene III, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Usually used in the sense of "up one minute, down the next".
** "Crossing the Jordan" means death: "If you want to be with me, you must die".

  • @jubbanubba You're stupid. Rammsteins largest influence, admittedly was Laibach. Being that both Megaherz and Rammstein were formed in 1993 that doesn't give Rammstein time to stumble upon Megaherz AND be so moved that they would try to resemble their style of music. Truth be told, Rammstein was the first true industrial metal band. Rammstein was criticized for being Germanic like Laibach. Megaherz was never criticized for this because Rammstein had already set the ground for future German bands

  • This song makes me want to go buy a toy piano

  • My favorite bands: Rammstein, Megaherz and Eisbrecher. That's literally the only music I need to live.

  • @Clambert1000 HA HA HA

  • @1q1q42 Clowns freak people out sometimes. Pennywise was invented by this irrational fear. So they use a clown as their mascot to go along with their slightly disturbing style of music.

  • @xknick1 rammstein repeatedly pointed out they were mostly influenced by Laibach and Oomph. Who cares about Genres anyway?

  • i want a freaking toy piano!!!!!!

  • @icecreamfairy8 einstürzende neubauten are older than oomph and they are already there since the 70s, just like kraftwerk, they might not sound like the industrial we are used today but yes they are "true industrial" although some might put them in a diff. type of music

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE MEGAHERZ SONG......I FIRST HEARD THIS ON THE WEBSITE SASH HAS OF THEIRS!!!!!

  • @xknick1 nope, oomph was their largest influence, and they arent even industrial metal, letalone invented it. Hell, even alice cooper made an industrial metal album before them

  • @icecreamfairy8 I thought that was why they fall into completely different genres. Moron.
