when you format do you get the memory it used to have when you bought it?

When I get to the end and press yes I really want to do it,it says no fixed disk found,WTF dies that mean!

When I go into the bios,it says enter current password,and I do but after the third time it's says failure and it sends me back to the boot up screen

just a question...could i copy the entire dvd into an usb pendrive and do the same job?!?! i guess so.... please let me know mate! :)

i dont have an external dvd drive and i dont want to buy an external dvd drive. do you know how i can restore my asus eee pc without an external dvd drive. i tried disabling the boot drive and the other one in configurations and pressing f9 but it just loads into safe mode. and safe mode wont load

@b1g1freeagain Must have a look at this.
My first thoughts would be to do a search on making a USB memory stick bootable.
Copy the restore DVDs onto memory stick.
Then try a restore from memory stick rather than external DVD (remembering that the memory stick is going into the same USB port as the external DVD would).
