The site of the Schaefer brewery shown in the commercial is now filled with condominiums. Called Schaefer Landing. It's in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood.

The "ROWAN & MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN" influence is evident here as well, so this is probably from 1969, when Schaefer tried to reach a younger crowd...but who really wanted to drink "the old man's beer"? The last shot of the "group" being packed and driven away in a Schaefer delivery truck...yeah, dump 'em in the East River, who'd ever know? ;)

Am guessing the date here is '70 or '71, with the men's neckerchiefs as the main clue.
Very ironic vibe here -- it would appear the members of our little pop combo are fully aware of their dorkiness in attempting to look "with it."
