Dude. Your videos are definitely without doubt the most inspirational and have that simple "WOW" Factor I have ever come across. I mean that seriously!

Great job, Jim! I recently did one of these for my parents. It turned out to be a very nostalgic and emotional experience for me.

I'm confused & angry that my soundtrack was removed. I can't believe the copyright law's intent is to prevent me from showing my slideshow w/ music I bought. I viewed many videos for ideas when picking songs, then I bought 2 CDs. I never considered trying to lift a song from YouTube because the quality is so bad. Then I posted my creation to inspire others. When you think about it, I'm giving WMG free advertising because if anyone likes the song, they'd have to buy their own copy like I did.

Sorry folks, the soundtrack was removed by WMG & YouTube for copyright infringement. Guess they thought my little tribute to Mom & Dad was hurting sales. Click on "More Info" for more info.

Really nice video, what program did you use, I like how you added still photos with live videos. The live videos that you used were they the old super 8 film, if so, how did you do that. Thanks

I use the Adobe Photoshop 4 & Premiere Elements 2 bundle - Photoshop to organize and edit the photos, and Premiere to edit the videos, assemble the slideshow, and create the final video file (and burn the DVD).
The old movie footage was actually 16mm. My Dad used a service to transfer it to VHS (I think he took it to a local Drug Fair). I dubbed that to a DVD using my VCR and DVD recorder. Then I dropped the DVD into my computer, and imported it into Premiere.
