Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association - Biddeford Airport

Producers wanting to have a special look decided not to shoot on location, but recreate this small town in Maine as a model from photographs. After the "HO" scale town had been completed, we shot the scenes on our insert stage, creating multiple lighting setups depicting various times of day for the model town. The scenes were then shot with prime lenses on the Red One camera. This allowed great latitude in post-production to increase the size or pan-and-scan the images, showing off even more details of the model. The campaign was a great success and helped convince voters to keep the airport open.
