The song was composed by Harry Noble in 1952 and first recorded that year by Coral recording artist, Karen Chandler. It was Karen's only chart hit, and the tune languished for years until Mel Carter took this brilliant arrangement of it to #8 in the nation in July of 1965.

My daughter, who is 6 years old heard me playing this song, and came in the room and asked me to play it again. She ended up listening to it three more times. Then she sat in the computer chair and read the comment that said " love this song". She laughed and asked me to type a comment in for her --- so here it is ...... SERENA MITRE LOVES THIS SONG, AND THE WAY HE SINGS!
