~A Week Later...~

Ellie's P.O.V

I run down the walkway toward school then walk to the office. I sign myself back in and get the late slip signed by one of teachers in the office then go to my locker. I just got back from my dentist, for a cleaning. I put my stuff away and check my schedule. There is only about 5 minutes left of period 4, so I just grab my math binder, which is my period 5 class and my pencil case, because I have Cooking with Justin after. (A.N. = in Canada we have school days (6 of them), and each school day we have a diff schedule) I'm walking down the hall when I hear whispering. I can't help but go to see who it is.

"I don't think we should do this..." I hear a guy whisper. I sneak a peek and notice Ardenne talking to someone with his back to me. "C'mon baby, you know you like me. Why be with that stupid bitch when you can be with me?" she says sluttily. "I shouldn't even be here, I'm-" the guy gets cut off. Ardenne suddenly kisses him. She pulls him into the light in the dark janitor's closet they're in.

I gasp. The guy is Justin! I don't know why I didn't recognize his voice. They seem to hear me and Justin whips around to see me. I run after that. I drop my binders and run. That bitch did it again! I run down the hallway and out of school. The crisp air hits me like a ton of bricks. This is just what I need. When I get pissed, I run. It stops me from crying. I found that out when I was 13 and Ardenne 'accidently' told the ENTIRE school about how when I was 6, I wet my bed. (Don't ask.)

I run until I can't run anymore. Luckily, I still had my cell in my pocket. I take it out and realize I missed like, 10 texts from Justin. I scoff and put my cell back into my pocket without looking at the texts. I look around to see that I'm in Lucas John Park. I love this park. It's only 10 minutes by car but 30 minutes walking. It only took me about 15 minutes to run there; I realize when I take my cell out again. I sit down on the grassy hill and sigh. I take my phone out again and look at the messages. Might as well get this over with...

"its not wat it looked like...she kissed me!"
"cmon where did u go?"
"lynn? Ur scaring me..."
"Im so sry..."

The rest of them were pretty much the same. I delete them then put my phone down beside me and lie down. I just stare at the sky for awhile then get up. I jog back to school, just in time for 6th period. I sneak into class and head to my table, happy that Justin isn't in my cooking group. As Mrs. Liz gives each group the instructions and ingredients, I sneak a peek at Justin, who's staring at me sadly. I turn to my group which consisted of me, Sarah and Dakota. We start talking and laughing and making the marble cupcakes. By the end of the period I feel much better.

"Ellie, I need to talk to you." I hear Justin say behind me. "Sorry guys, I got to go, I'll talk to you tonight." I say and smile to my friends then turn to see Justin standing behind me. "Ok, so talk." I tell him. He looks into my eyes and I see remorse in them. And then, he starts talking.

~An Hour Later At Ellie's House...~

I pull his face to mine and kiss him quickly on the nose then laugh. I get off of his lap and go into my kitchen. I grab a Coke from the fridge and a Root Beer Jones as well. "Here." I say as I throw the Coke to Justin. "Thanks." He says and smiles as I sit back down on his lap. "So where were we?" I say after we take a couple of sips of our drinks. "Me, you, bowling, Saturday." He says through bites of the sandwich I made him earlier. "Oh yeah, what time did you want to go?" I ask him. I put my arm around his neck as he answers. "2-ish, we've got a flight at 6." He responds. "Excuse me? 'We've'?" I ask him, confused. "Oh, did I mention? I'm taking you with me to Ellen for my interview." He says oh-so-casually.
