  • quick suggestion, aim for the hips and the shoulders. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, Block with the flat of the blade. I think that re-enforced parry five went edge to flat. other than that have fun!

  • Give them a break! They're not even rehearsing, they're just winging it. I'd say it's pretty good for no choreographer and zero rehearsal.

  • Not only that, but if you tried to reinforce a blow with your hand by blocking the the edge, you could hurt your hand pretty well.

  • @Prycik : Don't worry about it, they were actually doing it right.

  • @elricshad : Actually, blocking with the flat is the ONLY correct way to block. This is true in any swordfighting technique, from the west to the east, from the long sword to the spatha to the katana. In fact, blocking with the edge is the EXACT wrong thing to do. The edge is both weaker than the flat, and blocking with the edge ruins the blade.

    Example: /watch?v=TtNZQBc4RpE

This man is a very experienced swordsman in ARMA.

  • I hate when girls fight over me like this...geeez.

  • @elricshad There is nothing wrong with parrying on the flat of the blade as long as it's on the strong. In fact it's encouraged as it gives you an advantage to the counter attack

  • A good start, especially for what appears to be improvision

  • This is the weirdest fetish I've ever seen.

btw you're both doing it wrong, and why on earth would you get on your knee to block something coming straight down?

  • Nice simple moves for beginners :)

But, for crying out loud, they're longswords, not broadswords!
