http://www.drumcenternh.com - Here is an AMAZING Sonor SQ2 Birch kit. Video was made for us by a happy customer.
Exotic Ebony veneer outside and Scandinavian Birch veneer inside.

20x18 Medium Birch bass drum
14x8 Heavy Beech snare drum with diecast
8x7 thin birch tom
10x9 thin birch tom
12x11 thin birch
15x15 medium birch floor tom

Recorded in a small, dead room with 4 mics. Doesn't really do the sound justice...

  • @Ramen1020 is that because it sounds good?

  • very nice sounds a lot like danny carey's kit...punchy...with that instant attack in your face sound that Sonor has...love em.

  • @bentecho I'm selling my old Stage Custom Advantage kit for $650. Is there any chance you'd be interested?

  • @AllInDrummer Agreed... that setup will give the kick more thump, click and presence...

  • Im not really toooo bothered about how they sound saw, you can make a kit sound like anything nowadays, i have a swingstar and i think it sounds killer, i just go off the look i guess

  • @pescalante2 yeah, i did some recording for a video in a proper studio, big live room with all the walls angled etc, i was playing my sonor 3007, the bass drum sounded so amazing, its sounded like a new drum kit. Im thinking of buying a delite, but the more research i do, i dont think im going bother. Im prob gonna buy a yamaha stage custom or mapex meridian, get the edges done if nescsarry, had that done on my old pearl, like a new kit, Double 45 to a sharp point. punchy!

  • @bentecho I'm with you man, with proper tuning and proper heads for your drums they can sound extremely good, the only place where you'll notice the difference is in a recording studio or in a rehearsal room that's been setup pretty well

  • its amazing, i dont mean to dis in any way, drums are drums, i can get my old pearl export to sound this good, obvs this kit can sound better than my pearl export, but if they dont have the benifit of a nice room its no good. I can hear all the room modes etc.

  • look at the bassrumbeater it's a DW

  • @Ramen1020 EMAD2 with the bigger mufling ring nylon patch and felt side of the DW beaters ... disgusting... instead smaller ring on a single ply emad the smaller ring and the plastic patch with plastic or wooden beaters...imo
