I was excited. I push the bike up a ramp. It was cold & I was so nervous & hype I didn't want to even ride it.

i'm currently looking at a 600cc bike. Initially was looking at the yamaha R6, but the only thing i don't like about it was it has no fuel gauge. The cbr does. How would you compare a cbr 600 and the r6? what's your thoughts

2008 & up I would go with the Honda. The only advantage I would give the R6 is it looks a bit sharper. I love their tail section. It also has a higher red line so it would probably have a slightly higher top end but in the midrange it doesn't stand a chance against the Honda even with an outdated engine.

I appreciate your input. I agree with you that the R6 looks a little meaner and aerodynamic.I know with these types of sports bikes they're meant to be ridden hard but i'm the type of rider who doesn't like to continuously red-line and ride the bike hard.

Go with the Honda or Look at the Kawasaki 650r. It's getting good reviews all over. It's a sport/tourer type bike.
