Using XWii to play Championship Surfer in Linux with a Wii Classic Controller

You need Linux and a bluetooth adapter. You can download XWii (my driver program) and see some other demo videos at http://www.resplect.com/xwii

Or get more information on wiimote drivers from wiiuse.net or wiili.org

Cheers everyone.

  • cool example. i knew linux worked with the wiimote (and even works on the wii itself) but i didn't know that it could work with accessories too

  • What game is that?

  • If you're the originator of this software then thanks! XWii is exactly what ive been looking for. With a deb archive this was _very_ easy to set up.

This is confirmed working very well with Debian on the EEEPC using a HP Bluetooth dongle (bt500). Tested gaming under snes9x (2 player), and zsnes.

I've also been using it to remotely control mplayer.

  • you look like rick astley (guy shown at first)

  • I wrote a simple how-to on the ubuntu forums.

  • Look at the link in the Video description at the top-right.

  • Please describe or post link how this is done.

  • How did you do that?
