Former?...just because the bands dissolved doesn't mean he's not still the front man. He was so important in Husker Du and he WAS Sugar!. What an amazing musician. Can't wait for his book!

Sugar is still one of the best bands ever - nothing can touch those deeply simple rock tracks. Copper Blue is THE lost classic in rock. Mould is so underrated its pathetic.

The man is a colossus. I met him in Manchester in 1988 and sold him a copy of Eat the Rich - cool guy, so was the boy Grant Hart. I called my band Erase Today (90-96) after one of their trax - we are reforming for a UTAB2 benefit gig 12 August in Blackpool.
