National Donor Memorial Rededication Photos

On June 21, more than 300 people witnessed the rededication of The National Donor Memorial built in 2003. Eighteen members of the original design committee, friends and family of UNOS, UNOS Board of Directors, city dignitaries and UNOS staff, reunited in the lobby of the UNOS headquarters to hear Virginia's first lady, Maureen McDonnell, talk about her personal experience with organ donation and transplantation and to show her commitment to donation. Sharing the dais with her were James J. Wynn, MD, Chief of Transplant Surgery, Professor of Surgery and Mason distinguished Chair in Transplant Surgery and Immunology at the Medical College of Georgia and President of the UNOS/OPTN Board of Directors, Walter K Graham, Executive Director of UNOS, and Jill Mc Master Vice President for Patient and Donor Affairs for the OPTN/UNOS Board of Directors.
