This short video is at copper creek in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in the beautiful state of Washington. I was out exploring and doing a little prospecting.
What Ed forgets to remind folks about is that Copper Creek is mostly claimed up. There are 2 areas to prospect if you are a GPAA member or a member of NorthWest Mineral Prospectors Club. The private claims are off limits except for the claim jumpers we are going to catch soon. Skamania Co is going to prosecute the claim jumpers for federal claim trespass and mining theft. Signs are posted for all claims on Copper Creek so ignorance is not an excuse.
@NWExplorer2005 @NWExplorer2005 Very true, You do need to obey laws and respect active mining claims.. Claim jumping is never good..
I thought I have brought that up before on one of my posts, but I could be wrong..
Research Research and Research, and join a group.
from what I understand NWMPC is also a very good club also and has a few placer claims on Copper Creek. So Join, don't claim jump.
Thank you for the post and reminder.
