i was told that people are argueing if tai chi push hands should be mainly wrestling(throwing),or grabling, my answer is taichi is a great art to defeat wrestling and grabing joints locking even though there are small percentage of taichi movements can also be used to throw or joints locking ,but is main purpose is to destroy opponent's balance and strike while opponent is rigid and busy in regaining his balance .
