@Killzon3commander ....now indianz can choose wide variety of cars with international standard..that's the best thing.....the main competition between scoda and civic is perfection and performance...(to some extent)....honestly i never drove scoda so .. i can't judge it...But i have civic ... unfortunately... when foreign companies make indian variant they always compromise engine performance and many others...it may be easy to adapt indian conditions but quality will go down or price go up...

@cuttingman007 i hope you know that the Civic in NA is not the same as the Civic in India.
Skoda is the same across the board but i still find Civic better because it looks better and the handling is awesome and the gearbox and clutch is like my golf swing(really smooth lol).
besides, the civic DOES have steering mounted ccontrols

engine performance in civic is far better than other. In north america Civic is still have greater demand than any other car due to its outstanding performance. But in india people mainly looking for higher mileage and cute look. so i think skoda will in india.

Skoda Laura or Octavia is much better, it has twice as bigger boot, much solid a kind of volvoish car, very well built and strong in bad bumpy roads, honda civic has good engine and electronic gadgets but weaker in bad roads. Wait for the new 2012 Skoda Octavia....

Both cars are totally different than each other with respect to technology and handling.Especially Skoda has different class of customers than Honda. I feel these vehicles can only be compared on customers reach ability.Both the car customers are well informed customers does not need absurd advice from outsiders ,only they need to decide on brand by themselves.

The difference is just that one is Asian and other European. Asian cars have all fancy electronics and deviant looks. Europeans are about driving comfort and less about looks. All cars by a Euro manufacturer looks same and seems to have a blood relation. Branding they call it.

and top speed is above 200 kmph

Plz help me... many of them r saying that laura is a defective car..... Is that true ? it has many problems like AC cooling is low, blown turbos, poor service ...... I was planning to buy laura..... can i buy this car or not? help me
