I agree--if you are going to be close to your audience, especially. As for weight, maxim290--bellydance is not just for skinny women. Some of the most beautiful dancers are not thin. Not everyone thinks thin is attractive, and it's not (shouldn't be) about the body or sex--it's about being a woman, and culture. (And no, I'm not fat...)
