I show how I made an "Awesome" Bat Box from scrap and a little paint. Bats are on the decline, This is great project for the community or individuals.

  • Very cool project! I never saw one before, how far up in the air do they need to be?

    -Peace...

  • @Seeker1041 Box should be at least 12 ft. high but, better to go 15 to 20 ft. / also I hear they are best mounted on a pole or on the side of a building next to an open area rather than a tree.

  • great project, have your bats been getting the white nose syndrome? most cavers are being very careful not to cross contaminate other caves because of the syndrome

  • @beast12101 I don't know if the nose fungus is a problem in this area. Glad to hear that people are aware of cross contamination. In this area Habitat loss is currently an issue.

  • Excellent Bat Box.

Sometimes it's good to think inside the box. I think they'll be quite comfortable hanging out.
