Snippet of Diane Williams Singing (9/25/09)

Diane Williams, one of the best known lead singers from Chicago, led songs including "Jesus Can Work It Out," "The Bridegroom Commeth, " "Step Back Let God Do It," and several others.

This was recorded September 25, 2009 in Bowie, Maryland. I had an opportunity to attend this program. This is my favorite song to hear Diane sing and she just so happened to do it during this concert! LAWD HAMMERCY!!

I AM FROM CHICAGO and now live in Washington DC and I agree 10000% with you this is my favorite song by her as well she really sings this song nice to know others appreciates DIANNE WILLIAMS she's the best up temple gosepl song singers of all times no oen I MEAN NO ONE CAN PUT WORDS IN A SONG LIKE DIANNE WILLIAMS NO ONE it's sad that she hasn't received more recognition from the SO CALLED ELITE OF THE gospel world. most are afraid to sing behind her as she usually wrecks the place WOW

Yes indeed!! One of the choir members said to me after the concert, "Dwayne, I thought you were gonna come outta your clothes when Diane started singing." He just didn't understand. LOL!

She has never been given the type of recognition that she deserves, but the reason for that is a whole different story. She is one of the best I ever heard and I was at Cosmo with her under the same roof for some years. There are so many songs that she has utterly killed that didn't make recordings. My favorite's that she sung at Cosmo is "I'm taking it back" and "If you believe God will work a mircale for you". Singers half her age cannot handle her and I think the best is yet to come.

well your not entirely right about that see shirley caeser has preformed with the warriors james cleveland has 2 all the other gospel artist have for a fact know that dr hayes and diane have a style all thier own and do not wanna intrude on their success but diane is well know when she went to the 05 stellars many people said it was long over due because they all know from vicki winans to dorothy norwood that she was ddeserving of the award and should have recieved it before then

SEAN of course she's known in chicago  and loved I said she hasn't received the acolades of a shirley ceasar or tramiane hawkins and to me she sings gospell like no one else does and I think she should be recognized not only in CHICAGO we love her in chicago I was speaking of the gospel music industry as a whole they haven't given her the propers or respect she deserves I stand by that statement I I'm from Chicago and Dianne Williams has sung at our church on many occassions

thats not true here in chicago many singer recongnize diane williams as one of the best singer like albertina walker the GMWA its crazy but maybe she just wanted to sing with out all the extra stuff because as we all see she has been blessed and from what i see she still aint tired so lets jus all sit back and enjoy diane and praise god like she said betta lord
