Short Vlog on Food & Me Sing "Only Hope" by Switchfoot (also Mandy Moore)

Switchfoot is awesome, and "A Walk to Remember" which most people know this song from (when Mandy Moore sings it in a play in the film), had a HUGE part in bringing them to more awareness in the public at large, but they had 3 albums prior to that movie or the release of their breakout album a year later "The Beautiful Letdown". Either way, if you don't much by them, you should look more in to their catalogue. :)

This song has a soft spot in my heart for many reasons, and I prefer the original version by Switchfoot (from their 1999 album "A New Way to be Human" also produced by one of my favorite producers Charlie Peacock who is best known for writing/performing "The Light" but he has produced MANY people most recently the group "The Civil Wards"), but the only karaoke version there is is for the Mandy Moore version sadly, though I like Mandy Moore in her more recent musical output, and her versions good, I just love the soft understated mood of the original. Of course, I didn't sing it like either of those people, I sang it like me. lol Per always! :D Enjoy!

I love making homemade food! That's pretty cool that you made your own pita bread and hummus. My husband LOVES hummus and I like it as well!! :D Call me ignorant but I didn't know that Switchfoot originally did this song. I'm only familiar with the Mandy Moore rendition! I saw them on tour with Jars of Clay a few years ago. Nailed it again as always! :D

@annfeldmusic lol Awesome yeah same w/ me and my husband! :D The great thing about making your own, is you can, adjust it to your own taste. :) Yeah, a lot of people don't know that Switchfoot did this song, I guess in a way, I also made this video to bring to light that they wrote it and originally sang it. :) Their music was HUGE part in "A Walk to Remember". :) I've never seen them live, but I've seen Jars of Clay twice and they are one of my favorite bands! :D

In the short time I have known you, I've been introduced to some great songs I wouldn't normally hear. Its great to see the performance you put on in the privacy of your home transmitted to the stage albeit a karaoke event.

You should turn to your Lord, not for hope but to give him a big thankyou for all that talent He gave you. (I know you do.)
