yes, but it cancels only when you land, so instead of shining then jumping like in Melee, you jump first and then very quickly shine just as you barely leave the ground

Fanboys? 64 is as technical as Melee, just in different ways. Timing/placing is equally present in all three games. I think you mean spacing, or even mind games. Due to the fact that EVERY time you get hit you're probably going down (unless the other player makes a mistake) I consider 64 to be the most fun and the most optimal for mind vs mind play. It really gets down to player vs player and fooling someone into believing you're up to something. Where do you think Isai got "Don't get hit" from?

    To the fanboys.

Melee is still the biggest of the three when it comes to tournaments and other events. It also has the deepest gameplay, and is the most technical of the three. It's technical as F***.

64 is a little technical, but that game is all about timing/placing. In a pro match, if you mess up once, you're dead, since everyone knows their cookie-cutter combos.

Brawl is basically just a simplified Melee. It's what Melee looked like to me, when I was 10. Before I knew of Z/L cancelling.

    1. More characters & movesets =/= higher level of competition.

    2. Yes, ssb64 combos are repetetive. Brawl has hardly any hitstun, combos are not possible in that game.

    3. Brawl has more gimmicky stages that no one plays on, and several pointless items so if you're going to look at things from the tourneyfag PoV, that assessment is invalid.

Whether you were trolling or not, you obviously don't have any idea what you're talking about if you think that Brawl is more competitive.

Brawl is "a tier or two higher in combat depth than ssb"? Where did you come to this decision?
