This was the first version of this song I heard, I though it was so good I went out and bought all his albums

I think Bowie 'swore off' playing old tunes after the 90 S&V tour....which was to me Bowie's dullest least inspired set, even though he brought Belew back into the picture.
Of course 5 Years later he was kicking ass once again with Scary Monsters and alll things 70s....Glad he reconsidered cuz his mid 90s tours were very powerful.

@RobertDeBoron really, you can say he created about 35 legendary songs, but it's david bowie, so all his songs are legendary... yeah, even the first album...

Mick Ronson is brilliant, but to say this would be nothing without him is rubbish. David is a legend; a wonderful singer and performer; without him, Mick Ronson wouldn't have gone as far as he did. Fact.
