Blue Mountain & Reading 2102 at South Hamburg Yard 1991

At South Hamburg yard in Hamburg, PA. we see 2102 trying her hardest to put a diesel back on the rails. The SW 1000 went onto the ground when it pick the switch point.The late Charlie Kachel is at the throttle of the T-1 and his skill of long time service with the Reading is coming in hand, to places this box on wheels back on track. Then we watch the 02 get ready for a days work on the Blue Mountain & Reading touris line. Of corse this was all back in 1991. Hope you enjoy!

Len, thanks for posting this video. Did they finally succeed in getting the diesel re-railed? High wheeled steamers aren't exactly the best at re-railing equipment.

The Big Boy is owned by Steamtown , not Reading & Northern, and the Big Boy will not get restored it just to large.
