kennesaw state university bible beaters (7 of 7)

these guys come through every year, and i have yet to catch them... until today.

they set up and protest for a few hours about how homosexuality is a sin, and they berate us with bible verses and threats of living in eternal damnation.

this little angel just brightened my day. it was better than watching keanu reeves attempt a serious movie role post-bill and ted. entertainment at it's finest.

@Triathlete5551 Apparently being unclean and sinning required the same kind of atonement. Again, Yahweh is the Creator and, as such, has the right over His creation to require perfection of it. In His mercy and grace He provided a way to become clean/perfect: Blood.

You claim to be an atheist, but to be one you'd have to have all knowledge available in the universe... to say unequivocally that God does not exist! BTW, do you know what the God you say doesn't exist calls you? A FOOL [Ps. 14:1].

@TheTruthCanHurt so you just admitted that this ceremony does nothing to cure it... it is just to make lepers "clean" for Yahweh? This ceremony had nothing to do with atonement for sin though... so why don't people still do it today for lepers??? Jesus never said to stop doing this silly voodoo ceremony... this sounds foolish to me not because I'm an atheist... it's foolish because it's foolish to Everyone.. even you.. otherwise you'd be out doing it lol

@Triathlete5551 Duh! But leprosy was considered a defect and God required the best from His people, so they had to make atonement for their uncleanness. Of course this sounds foolish to a pagan like you, but that's what God required of His people - the Israelites. His prescription wasn't to HEAL them of their leprosy, but to allow them and their houses to be acceptable to a holy God.

@TheTruthCanHurt Leprosy doesn't require a "blood atonement" ... doctors easily cure leprosy with antibiotics that kill the bacteria Mycobacterium leprae... This procedure is very easy and doesn't involve killing birds... dipping stuff in blood, sprinkling it in a circle on the ground.... That my friend is a "voodoo'' like ceremony.. that your Bible says works lol... go try it sometime and let me know how that works out for you... In reality it doesn't work...

@Triathlete5551 College, like anywhere, is a great time to face God's Law which, like it or not, is "the real world." Why do you think there are certain moral absolutes that everyone condemns: rape, murder, unfaithfulness in marriage, stealing, lying, etc.? Those come from God's Law, which we're all hard-wired with. In light of the rampant sin on campus, I'd say college is an excellent place to raise those issues. Leprosy required a blood atonement... hence, the bird killing, "bible scholar!"

@TheTruthCanHurt College isn't a place to learn about the "spiritual, supernatural world" .... College is a place to learn about the "real, actual world" and how to make it a better place... college level education is why YouTube exists... it didn't come from the bible... so wake up and smell reality... brimstone is fantasy my friend. According to the Bible you can cure skin rashes by killing birds... Leviticus 14:54.. try it the next time you get a skin rash lol

i'm not looking to be excused nor am i attempting to use an excuse. i'm just calmly stating that i don't approve of his methods because they don't appeal to people. :)
